>>> En dehors de leurs missions militaires, quelles pouvaient être les pensées secrètes des soldats enfermés pour plusieurs mois à 35m sous terre dans l'ouvrage fortifié de Galgenberg à Cattenom? Peut-on entrer dans l'intimité de ces soldats en période de guerre, lire leurs craintes, sentir leurs ruminations dans les attentes interminables entre deux opérations? L'installation, met en relation, au sein même de cette souricière, en état d'enfermement, galcée et blafarde, au coeur même du stock de morts à venir, les mémoires de soldats des deux guerres et les signes du désespoir de ceux qui n'ont pas pu supporté cette charge.

>>> Après un périple dans les dédales du fort souterrain, passant par une chicane étroite, le public découvre le magasin à munitions. En suspension dans l'air confiné, dans la moite fraîcheur de l'air, un ensemble de cartons où l'on peut lire des fragements de témoignages des béligérants des deux guerres, repris par une projection video ambiante, en vis-à-vis des portaits du vide et du désespoir.

>>> Apart from their military missions, what could have been the secret thoughts of soldiers locked up for several months at 35m underground in the fortified work of Galgenberg at Cattenom? Can we enter their intimacy in wartimes, understand their fears, feel their ruminations during endless waiting times between two operations? The installation relates, in the very heart of this trap, in a state of cold and gloomy confinement, within the stock of future death instruments, the memories of soldiers of both wars and their signs of despair, for those who could not even stand their own emotions.

>>> After a short walk through the maze of the subterranean fort, passing through a narrow deflector, the audience discovers the ammunition store. Suspended in the confined atmosphere, in the air's moist freshness, a set of cardboxes exposes fragments of testimonies from the passed two wars, repeated by a video projection, across portaits of emptiness and despair.
